Who are we?

The Underwritten Workers Compensation and Distribution business is responsible for the underwriting, sales and claims management for workers compensation in the risk states (NT, WA, TAS, ACT and Seafarers). Our Underwriting operations team provides national support and assistance to risk-state based policy management.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Being a referral point for Complex Case Underwriting Referrals and queries
  • Building strong relationships with underwriting teams nationally, assisting in coaching and developing the technical capability within the business unit.
  • Delivery of portfolio routines inclusive of Reinsurance, Wage Audit, Compliance, remediation, and Business improvement.
  • Co-ordinating & conducting portfolio reviews throughout the year identifying trends and development of strategies
  • Delivery of compliance routines within required timeframes and developing effective remediation where required.
  • Identification of opportunities to enhance the Underwriting process and involvement in the continuous improvement of the Underwriting function.

Important to your success:

  • You will have sound experience in an Underwriting role
  • You will bring excellent knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and regulations
  • You will bring an ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across our business divisions.
  • Strong skills in Excel and familiarity with data analysis preferable
  • You'll demonstrate strong problem solving skills with the ability to think critically to identify solutions
