Capital Management Actuary

The successful candidate will support Allianz Australia's Capital Management Team in the timely measurement and reporting of capital requirements and advising the business on capital and risk related decisions.

Your key areas of ‎responsibility will be to:

  • Oversee the operation of Allianz Australia's Solvency II model deliverables for Allianz Group reporting purposes.
  • Support the operation of Allianz Australia's local Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP).
  • Support the Capital Management Team in the provision of capital related business advice and efforts to advance modelling capabilities in this area.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. This includes other actuaries, senior management, underwriters, accountants, Allianz Group colleagues and external subject matter experts.

You will also need to possess:‎

  • Relevant qualifications (actuarial, mathematics, statistics, or other relevant technical or business discipline);
  • Experience in the Solvency II solvency framework, especially within an internal model setting
    • Experience in capital modelling, especially insurance risk and reinsurance;
    • Superior problem solving skills with good capability with written and verbal communication;
    • A sound understanding of general insurance products;
    • Strong project management skills and an ability to work collaboratively;
