We're seeking a HR Analytics Consultant / Data Analyst to be an integral part of our Sydney based HR Analytics team. The role will report to our People Analytics Manager and be responsible for HR data reporting and analytics, including the development, validation, deployment and continuous improvement of all HR reporting and data requirements in the business.


You'll be joining at a time when our business is going through significant change and uplift, a period where we are focused on improving the way we do things particularly from a data and reporting perspective. As part of this we are building out solid foundations and undertaking a number of innovative projects which will give you the opportunity to work autonomously, bring new ideas and insights on how we can do things differently and challenge the status quo.   


You'll be responsible for:

You'll be empowered to make a difference and be responsible for supporting a global HR reporting function, helping our People Analytics Manager & HRBP's identify actionable insights through  the delivery of a range of HR reports and sub- sequentially providing analysis of data, using BI tools and statistical means to communicate the actionable insights.


  • You'll also increase the delivery of available reporting across the company to support HR and the business.
  • Research and develop system and process improvements with a focus on data integrity.
  • Development of reporting tool enhancement, and prepare report and reporting solution specifications.
  • Work with the People Analytics Manager to design self-service reporting tools and data that reflect the complexity of global reporting across different global and local platforms.
  • Work with the People Analytics Manager on existing HR reports (e.g. HR Metrics reporting including future workforce KPI's) to drive meaningful business results.
  • Report results of analyses in the form of graphs, charts, and tables.
  • Respond to general business queries and maintenance of HR Reporting Mailbox.
  • Assist the Payroll and Finance teams with financial reporting and exception reporting (i.e. General Ledgers, leave liabilities etc...).


Important to your success:

To be successful in the role you will have tertiary qualifications in either HR, Business, Finance or IT. You'll demonstrate strong prior experience in a reporting and analytics role with advanced excel and knowledge of data warehouse and BI tools. A strong attention to detail is necessary because of the intricacies of the reporting requirements. You'll need to have excellent communication skills as you'll be required to engage with and influence key HR stakeholders across the business. This is a busy and demanding role requiring someone with a resilient nature particularly as the business is going though significant change and uplift and there will be implementation of many new projects.
