Who are we?

The Underwritten Workers Compensation and Distribution business is responsible for the underwriting, sales and claims management for workers compensation in the risk states (NT, WA, TAS, ACT and Seafarers). Our Underwriting operations team provides national support and assistance to risk-state based policy management.

As an Underwriting Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring internal and external customer expectations are exceeded and business objectives met by efficiently undertaking administrative functions for the Underwriting Teams in each branch.
  • Undertaking scanning, indexing, processing wage declarations, broker closings etc and other administrative duties within required timeframes.
  • Efficiently and professionally resolving underwriting operational transaction queries and errors.
  • Providing administrative support to the team as required and take part in continuous improvement initiatives to ensure policies and procedures are effective and efficient.
  • Supporting Policy management and Underwriting on Small business programs

  • Experience within an administrative and customer service focused role
  • You will have a passion for delivering a superior customer service experience
  • You will have high attention to detail and will be highly organised with the ability to manage your workloads and time efficiently
  • You'll demonstrate strong problem solving skills with the ability to think critically to identify solutions
  • You will be pro-active with an eagerness to grow and develop
