Manager, Automotive and Mobility Direct

We have an exciting opportunity for an Automotive and Mobility Manager to join our Allianz Direct business Personal lines team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

The team sits within our Retail Distribution division. Our direct insurance business markets consumer insurance products (Home, Motor, CTP, Life, Travel and Small Business) directly to customers through digital and contact centre channels.

What you should expect

As Manager, Automotive and Mobility Direct you will provide management focus to the Personal Lines Direct business unit to ensure the delivery of key business goals.

Reporting to the Head of Automotive and Mobility Direct you will be responsible for the growth and profitability of the Direct Motor Personal Lines portfolio (including Travel products) and for maintaining key internal and external relationships including the Contact Centres, IT, Market Management, Product, Claims, Allianz Worldwide Partners and external agencies and vendors.

It will also be your responsibility to:

  • Work with and support key stakeholders and service providers to successfully deliver business outcomes and initiatives.
  • Take a lead role with Market Management to plan and execute the Automotive and Mobility marketing strategy including brand position, offer creation and media planning
  • Help drive the 'customer centricity' agenda through Direct existing customer business
  • Financial Management - managing the financial plan for the Direct Motor portfolio.  This includes managing expenses and managing growth and profit targets.
  • Manage the oversight of the Partner Programs function, including day to day management of Allianz Partners, Workplace Marketing and Staff Insurance.
  • Management Reporting - Coordinating reporting and monitoring of sales, retention and portfolio information for Personal Lines.
  • Product and Pricing - working with the Product Management area to ensure product and pricing structures support achievement of New Business growth, retention and profit targets.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage complaints as required. Support NPS programs.

Important to your success:            

  • You will have a deep understanding of the insurance industry ideally with exposure to personal lines insurance products.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing, digital and sales processes to deliver successful sales outcomes
  • You will bring an ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across our business divisions.
  • You are known for your strong analytical skills and business focused solutions.
  • A strong customer focused approach
  • A proven people leader who enjoys a coaching and mentor role
  • Ability to plan, implement and manage change
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
