We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Consulting Engineer to join the Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide your loss control expertise in supporting and assisting AGCS and its customers in risk selection and retention in the power generation industry.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional working relationships with both internal and external clients and brokers.            

You'll be responsible for:

  • Survey large & complex client operations in all business areas, obtain appropriate data, identify hazards, and discuss findings with appropriate parties. Generate loss control reports, recommendations, confirmation letters etc. as a result of site visits.
  • Complete desktop reviews and risk assessments (pre & post loss) for underwriting evaluating and summarising exposures and controls.
  • Work effectively on assignments strictly adhering to the Account Servicing Instructions.
  • Assist AGCS and clients with respect to ongoing or specific projects. Support technical training presentations for internal and external clients as required / appropriate.

Important to your success:

  • Demonstrate expertise within power generation and / or construction with advanced technical knowledge in all other areas.
  • Insurance &and underwriting knowledge will be well-regarded but it is not a prerequisite.
  • Commitment to maintaining knowledge of developments and new technologies in field.
  • Able to work across multiple technical loss control topics. Complex bespoke output for senior or executive recipients
  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Civil Engineering)
