Recovery Officer - Property Claims

Our National Recoveries Unit manages the recoveries aspect of our general insurance claims. We currently have the opportunity for a Recovery Officer - Property Claims to join our Sydney team to work across a portfolio of Property Claims.

What you should expect

Do you have previous experience in Recoveries, Finance or Debt Recovery and a passion for delivering an excellent customer service? 

As a Recovery Officer you will report to the Technical Manager Recoveries and will be responsible for analysing, reviewing and managing a portfolio of property claims recovery files with the primary aim of maximising Allianz's recovery income and resolving outstanding debts in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.

You will proactively communicate progress and likely outcomes to both internal and external customers. You will use your expertise to problem solve, negotiate and influence to maximise outcomes.

Important to your success:

  • Prior experience in property claims/recoveries
  • You will have an excellent customer focus with the ability to build relationships
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • You will have a drive to solve problems and utilise your analytical skills
  • Debt recovery experience in a financial institution or the insurance industry
  • Working knowledge of the laws relating to debt collection, liability and insurance
  • Working knowledge of State legislation and the legal system
  • An understanding of the general insurance industry
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and a high attention to detail
