Due to business growth and demand, our Technical division is currently looking to appoint a Reporting Analyst to join our Actuarial Pricing and Data Analytics team based at our Market Street, Sydney CBD office. In this role you'll assist our Analysis and Reporting Manager with the analysis and reporting on domestic and commerical lines products. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your reporting, problem solving, communication and analytical skills.

About the Role:

The key objective of the Reporting Analyst is to produce regular management reporting and deliver insights to inform business decisions for our general insurance products. You will work closely with ‎internal stakeholders within the business to provide ‎innovative solutions to our customers that directly drive business outcomes.

Key role objectives: 

  • Produce and maintain regular reports to monitor the portfolio performance and assess against initiatives and strategies
  • Provide recommendations and insights to internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes
  • Undertake analytical work as required
  • Monitor the performance of implemented initiatives to support continuous refinement of activities and strategy, reflecting competitive and commercial considerations
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to proactively address their concerns
  • Contribute to the development of portfolio strategy and support its implementation
  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation and improvements in our processes, products and services

About You:

You will possess the following experience, preferably within a similar Reporting or Analytics role. 

  • Numerical focused degree - either Finance, commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
  • Experience in General Insurance is helpful but not mandatory
  • Strong analytical, reporting and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Experience with SAS, Excel and dashboard skills is desirable
  • The ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional customer service
  • Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task and ‎prioritise your work, whilst working in a fast paced environment
