We're seeking a Technical Lead, based in our Sydney office.

Building on the development and success of the Claims department, we have an opportunity for someone to join this forever expanding team, within the Customer Experience space as part of the Technical Support Team. This opportunity also allows the successful candidate to apply exceptional customer service skills with a desire to ensure our company remains innovative.

As a Technical Lead you will ensure adherence to Compliance procedures, Allianz internal policy/process and relevant legislation.

 What you should expect

The role will provide you with a significant level of autonomy and in this we are seeking those with a proactive approach to their work.  You will be working with a team of dedicated Technical Leads that aim to improve outcomes and processes to allow the continual development of staff and enhance the experience for our Customers.

It will be your responsibility to:

  • Ensure adherence to Compliance procedures, Allianz internal policy/process and relevant legislation
  • Manage internal and external customer relationships
  • Anticipate and provide solutions to our customer's needs
  • Review claims through different avenues and reporting on required improvements
  • Monitor quality of work reflected within the claim, capturing all necessary details

Important to your success

You will bring an ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across our business divisions. You are known for your strong analytical skills and business focused solutions.  In addition you will be valued for;

  • Extensive technical experience in claims handling, managing core and/or complex claims
  • Cross-skilled in Property/Motor preferred (not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Effective time management skills
  • Effective management of Internal and External Customers
  • Strong analytical skills
  • ANZIIF/Industry equivalent qualifications (desirable)
  • Possess knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act, Insurance & Brokers Act, ASIC Debt Collection Guidelines and the Code of Practice,
