Change Manager

  • December 2019 start date > 6 month contract 
  • Seeking a seasoned Change Practioner - Part Time (3 days p/w)
  • Sydney CBD based 

 About the Role:

Allianz Australia is currently in an exciting period of change and transformation. With a number of significant programs in- flight and in conception phase, we are looking to grow our Change Practice with seasoned practitioners in order to ensure the successful embedment of various people, technology and process / operational driven change

Reporting into the Organisational Change Manager – Practice Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and assuring the change management design, execution and sustainment aligned to a Risk and Compliance Transformation. This includes contributing to the overall program change strategy, sizing and scoping the change effort for program initiatives, and gathering change intelligence at an initiative level. You will collaborate with other change managers to create consistency and capability in the execution of the organisations change management methodology.

Further Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the change analysis as required (stakeholder analysis, change impact and gap analysis, training needs analysis).
  • Develop a change management strategy based on the completed change analysis.
  • Address any potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.
  • Ensure that readiness assessments are conducted.
  • Apply and drive the Allianz change management approach and methodology focused on cultural and behavioural change; the ‘people' aspect of change management.
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans e.g. change leadership plan, communication plan, education and training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Work with the project teams and initiative change managers to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • Lead and support the creation of the measurement mechanisms to track adoption, utilisation and proficiency of individual changes.
  • Lead and support the relationship with other group-wide specialists e.g., Communications, in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation.

 About you:

The successful applicant will possess the following skills, attributes and experience: 

  • 4 + years' experience operating in a Senior Change Manager or Change Manager role, ideally with experience working across a Risk or Compliance Program across both people, business process and technology change 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, certification or demonstrated competency in application of at least one formal change methodology such as PCI / Prosci
  • A degree in psychology will be highly regarded
  • Experience across the end to end OCM life-cycle from strategy and design through to execution
  • Ideally you will have experience across the full Change function including communications and training and will have the willingness to roll up your sleeves and operate more hands on, as and when required
  • Experience managing large scale, complex change ideally within the Financial Services sector. Candidates with experience working across enterprise wide transformations will be highly regarded
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and manage diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
  • The ability to transition seamlessly between strategy and execution as required
