About the Role

If you have Technology Risk or Assurance, Cyber or IT experience we would love to hear from you for the position of Cyber Risk & Governance Consultant in the Cyber Protection and Resilience team based in our Sydney CBD location.  This is a permanent full time position which breaks down the silos and allows for the opportunity to be involved in a broad variety of initiatives and have exposure to all levels of stakeholders across the business and IT.

The role supports the business in the development and deployment of effective security risk management strategies to promote a robust and efficient security control environment across AAL and our Broker & Agencies. The role will perform relevant analysis to ensure current and emerging risks are appropriately identified, documented, assessed, mitigated and monitored.

Supporting the National Cyber Risk & Governance Manager, this is a hands-on, business facing role ensuring CPS 234 is appropriately embedded across the organisation and our brokers and agencies.

As a Cyber Risk & Goverance Consultant, your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Supporting and advising the Allianz business, Brokers and Agencies to ensure they are CPS 234 compliant
  • Working with the business in developing and embedding sound cyber security risk management practices, including third party security risk management
  • Identifying and performing continuous improvement initiatives including assisting in maturing the policies, standards and procedures owned by the team and helping to embed these across the organisation
  • Performing deep dives and route cause analysis to determine advice and actions
  • Drafting cyber security risk memos and papers to senior management on topics such as risk acceptances, emerging risks, incidents and issues
  • Support the delivery of strategic initiatives and deliverables as requires

About you:

Requirements that will set you up for success include:

  • 5 + years' relevant experience working within IT Assurance, IT Risk Management, Cyber Security or IT
  • Understanding of Cyber Security regulatory standards and frameworks, including CPS 234.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to navigate complex problems and influence the right outcomes with the business
  • Experience in IT Audit and Risk within one of the Big 4Professional Services Firms will be highly desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, IT etc.  CA, CISP, CCSP, CCSK, CRISC, ISO27001 or CISM or equivalent qualifications highly desirable
