Cyber Risk Analyst

Allianz Australia (AAL) have an exciting opportunity available for a Cyber Risk Analyst to sit with within our Cyber Protection and Resilience team based in our Market Street, Sydney CBD location.

The role supports the Cyber Protection & Resilience team in the development and deployment of effective security risk management strategies to promote a robust and efficient security control environment across AAL and our Broker & Agencies. The role will perform relevant analysis to ensure current and emerging risks are appropriately identified, documented, assessed, mitigated and monitored.

Supporting the National Cyber Risk & Governance Manager, this is a hands-on, business facing role ensuring CPS 234 is appropriately embedded across the organisation.

As a Cyber Risk Analyst, your key tasks will include but not be limited to;

  • Supporting the AAL business and Brokers amd Agencies to ensure they are CPS 234 compliant
  • Embedding sound cyber security risk management practises, including but not limited to, identifying, recording, providing advice and addressing cyber security related risks, controls, audit issues, incidents and mitigating actions
  • Supporting the supplier security risk assessment process and refining the underlying tools and providing relevant cyber security recommendations to the business and vendors
  • Organising and participating, as required in cyber risk related meetings with key internal or external stakeholders. E.g. Procurement, Risk, Legal, Third Party reps
  • Identifying and performing continuous improvement initiatives including assisting in maturing the policies, standards and procedures owned by the team and helping to embed these across the organisation
  • Performing deep dives and route cause analysis as required
  • Assisting in drafting cyber security risk memos and papers to management on topics such as risk acceptances, emerging risks, incidents and issues
  • Ensure all stakeholders are clear on the status of cyber security initiatives including engaging relevant business units and SME's and monitoring their deliverables where required 
  • Support the delivery of strategic initiatives and deliverables as required

The ideal candidate will possess the below skills, attributes and experience;

  • 5 + years' relevant experience working within IT Assurance, IT Risk Management, Cyber Security or IT
  • Understading of Cyber Security regulatory standards, including CPS 234.
  • Experience working within complex enterprises, ideally with exposure to Financial Services
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to confidently provide advice and influence diverse stakeholder groups internally and externally including brokers and agencies
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience identifying gaps and providing recommendations to address anticipated risk related issues, ensuring appropriate cyber security risk management and governance
  • The ability to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines of deliverables
  • The willingness and desire to consistently drive continuous improvement and best practice across the organisation
  • Experience in IT Audit and Risk within one of the Big Four Professional Services Firms will be highly desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in commernce, IT etc. Charted Accountant, CISP, CCSP, CCSK, CRISC, ISO27001 or CISM or equivalent qualifications highly desirable
