An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications Specialist to join Allianz Australia, specifically aligned to our Transformation Program of work. The role is responsible for working alongside all members of the Transformation Program Team to develop and implement an internal communications strategy to raise awareness and align the understanding of the Transformation Program.  The role will be based in Allianz Australia's Sydney CBD location on an initally 12 months Fixed Term Contract. 

This is a hands-on role, where you will be responsible for the end to end management of the communications piece. This will include not only developing the strategy but developing communications through various channels and materials for predominately internal audiences.

Reporting to the Transformation Program Director, the key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to;

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to help Allianz Australia employees understand the Transformation program, including on-going stakeholder communications on progress, updates and signification changes
  • Ensuring strategy alignment with the broader Internal Communications and Change Management Strategy
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and support the broader Communications team to ensure consistency of messaging
  • Advise the business and relevant stakeholders on communications best practice and drive innovative ways to connect with internal audiences
  • Developing supporting materials utilising both online and more traditional methods
  • Drive leader communication to improve ownership and cascading of information relating to the strategy among senior leaders and across their teams
  • Ensure complex information is translated into engaging information pieces relevant and aligned to different audiences / groups

To ideal applicant will possess the following experience, skills and attributes;

  • 5 + years' experience in a Communications Specialist or Manager role, with experience working across large scale programs or transformations
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the enterprise
  • Experience driving communications related projects and campaigns and implementing innovative ways of connecting with internal audiences
  • Proven experience in identifying employee engagement opportunities to drive the embedment of company strategies
  • Experience utilising various content management systems
  • Exposure to Financial Services, ideally the Insurance will be highly regarded
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, PR, Corporate Affairs, Journalism or similar ideal but not necessary
