Senior Business Analyst

We're seeking a Senior Business Analyst, based in our Sydney office to support both the Retail Distribution Division and the Broker and Agency Division. The Senior BA demonstrates subject matter expertise and business partnering support to ensure the financial health and competitive advantage of those functions.

What you should expect:

In conjunction with the Manager Distribution Reporting and Analysis, this role is critical for constructing frameworks for the team that will direct the delivery of annual sales plan, incentive programs and end of month tasks and performance reporting. 

It will be your responsibility to:

  • Monitor performance to ensure key financial indicators are achieved, namely GWP & profit measures
  • Analyse Market & understand trends in GI space. Leverage internal contacts to be up to date on Broker and Retail channel activity
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, undertake development training where agreed. Continue leadership training and coaching courses
  • Work closely with the knowledge workers from within the business line to understand the drivers of business activity and the economic model
  • Liaise closely and take advice from Corporate Finance in regards to directives from Allianz Group and changing industry requirements and standards.

You will bring an ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across our business divisions. You are known for your strong analytical skills and business focused solutions.  In addition you will be valued for;

  • Solid experience in business partnering or financial planning and analysis experience
  • A deep understanding of General Insurance reporting elements and underlying drivers / KPIs
  • Exposure to the operations of an insurer or other financial services organisation highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
