Due to a newly created position we are seeking an innovative and energetic Paralegal - Regulatory to join our in house legal team based in our Sydney CBD offices.  Reporting to Executive Legal Counsel - Regulatory you will be part of a dynamic team that delivers high quality legal advice to the business in relation to:

  • Regulatory change
  • New product design, development and launch
  • Impact of regulatory change on existing products and consequential product changes

The role is responsible for assisting the regulatory legal team within Allianz with a wide variety of tasks including:

  • Large scale document review
  • Assisting with responses to regulator notices including document collation and management
  • Undertaking legal research and preparing legal memos
  • Assisting with updating the legal team and the business in relation to legislative and regulatory updates

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and proactive individual with the ability to manage client expectations to ensure matters are appropriately triaged and dealt with in accordance with a timetable and scope of instructions agreed.  You will have the following skills:

  • A legal degree and/or prior experience as a paralegal within Insurance or Financial Services
  • Exposure to large scale and complex document review tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
