Claims Performance Manager

We're seeking a Claims Performance Manager, based in our Sydney office. Reporting to the Manager, Authorised Provider, the Claims Performance Manager will take ownership of the claims strategy and performance improvement initiatives by managing the recommendations identified by the quality assurance program.

What you should expect

This role is critical for managing the actions resulting from the audit and conduct risk review program and for embedding a strong risk culture across the technical and triage teams. This includes identifying strategic risks and conducting risk reviews.

It will be your responsibility to:

  • Develop, implement and monitor the claims strategy for the Authorised Provider business
  • Oversee the audit and conduct risk review program, this includes attendance at all relevant meetings, producing the action plan and process improvement
  • Leading the technical and triage team
  • Working closely with the Manager, Authorised Provider to deliver change programs
  • Take a lead role in identifying opportunities within the teams for improvement and innovation
  • Work with the Team Leader's to ensure there are strategies documented to meet and exceed claims measures and KPI's
  • Maintain awareness of key corporate governance policies, procedures and initiatives, ensuring all corporate governance training is completed within the specified timeframe

You will bring an ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across our business divisions. You are known for your strong analytical skills and business focused solutions.  In addition you will be valued for

  • Your extensive Workers Compensation claims experience with either a technical or injury management focus
  • Your deep understanding of the NSW Workers Compensation Legislation and Regulation
  • Excellent time management, resilience and agility when changes occur
  • A mindset which is supportive and allows you to ‘walk in our customer's shoes'
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and developing teams.
  • Tertiary qualification in legal or an Allied Health discipline will be highly regarded but not essential
