Project Manager - Team Lead

Allianz Australia are looking to engage a Project Manager - Team Lead to sit within our Technology Division based in our new state-of-the-art offices in North Sydney (5 minute walk from North Sydney train station).

Reporting directly into the PM Practice Lead, you will be responsible for supporting, coaching and managing a team of 10 - 12 highly capable Project Managers, sitting across a number of various complex initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity, where you will be able to leverage your extensive delivery knowledge and hands on experience through coaching and mentoring a team of delivery professionals to ensure Best Practice across project delivery and identify areas for continuous improvement and uplift.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 5 + years' experience project managing a team of delivery resources working on a medium sized ICT project (>$5m) within a complex, multi-platform and vendor environment.
  • Ideally you will additionally have 2 + years' experience leading a team of Project Managers (preferably in a PMO capacity) with demonstrated experience mentoring and coaching to ensure capability uplifts and continuous improvement.
  • Experience defining, estimating, forecasting and managing the necessary project resource requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively engage and manage diverse technical and business stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong experience across the end to end delivery lifecyle, SDLC deliverables and how they perain to Agile and Waterfall / Traditional delivery methods
  • Risk & issues, dependency and financial mananagement and reporting experience within complex ICT projects
  • Experience working within Financial Services– ideally within Insurance or Wealth

Tools experience:

  • Proficient in MS Office including MS Project – Online desirable
  • Enterprise Project Management tools - desirable
  • JIRA
