Our Motor Accidents Compensation (MAC) Team is integral to the organisation as they employ a number of specialist claims staff to assisting customers in their time of need. MAC delivers a market leading customer experience when assisting those who have sustained injuries in a motor vehicle accident.

The role
This is an exciting new senior leadership role with breadth and opportunity to influence and have a positive impact.

Reporting in to the Executive General Manager Worker' Compensation, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the NT MAC contract requirements and developing an effective and sustainable relationship with key members of the NT Motor Accidents Compensation Commission.

Leading a claims management function, you will be responsible for delivering scheme outcomes in a customer centric way. You will also take a lead role in partnering with Risk Management, Investment Management, Technical & Data Analytics and Reinsurance functions to drive business performance and innovative practices.

Key areas of focus in this role include:

  • Strategic management of the NT MAC contractual requirements and key stakeholder relationships
  • Leading, coaching, mentoring and developing team members to deliver superior claims outcomes, enhance successful customer delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Utilising internal expertise across divisions leading sustainable business performance improvements
  • Efficient management of expenses and operational control improvements.
  • Establish and improve management systems to ensure compliance with contractual, statutory and Allianz internal requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong history of achieving performance objectives (financial, customer and people)
  • Advanced knowledge CTP legislation and operational frameworks Excellent communication skills and relationship building skills (including conflict resolution)
  • Strong initiative and problem solving abilities combined with a solid business acumen
  • Professional and approachable demeanour
