Reporting directly to the General Manager, Strategy & Transformation, this key leadership role provides a unique opportunity to bring your strategic thinking, market insights and leadership skills to a leading global insurance organisation.  You will contribute to driving strategic and innovative decisions, based on best outcomes for our valued customers.


Leading a team of strategy and market intelligence specialists, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching, mentoring and developing a highly motivated strategy team
  • Mobilising, shaping, integrating and leading the annual strategy planning process in collaboration with key divisional business owners
  • Driving portfolio alignment to agreed strategic objectives
  • Providing support to the Managing Director and Senior Executives as required to deliver key initiatives
  • Overseeing the development and dissemination of market insights, trends and reports that impact and influence strategic direction


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven leadership skills in a large, complex organisational environment, including the ability to support business outcomes and strategic direction
  • In-depth familiarity with strategy framework and tools
  • Superior analytical skills including strategic analysis and financial analysis
  • Ability to liaise, advise, influence and engage with key stakeholders, demonstrating highly developed verbal, written, presentation and influencing skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the general insurance industry highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance or similar discipline essential
  • MBA or similar post graduate qualifications highly desirable
