  • Business Analyst role with exposure to cutting edge reporting, monitoring and sophisticated analysis in our Workers Compensation Division

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Workers Compensation Actuarial & Analytics team. 

In this role you will gain exposure to doing advanced analytics for a long tailed portfolio as well as helping to develop and deliver business oriented reporting.  Opportunities to communicate findings and results will further develop your business analyst tool kit.

Your ability to innovate and your attention to detail will allow you to make a meaningful contribution to the team and the company.

The responsibilities of your role will include:

  • Development of state of the art dashboards  and reporting/monitoring tools
  • Communicating results in written and verbal form to a variety of stakeholders
  • Carry out business critical analysis projects in partnership with business stakeholders
  • Developing targets, budgets and forecasts to assist in business improvement
  • Develop predictive models to enable continuous business improvement
  • Assist in reporting automation to enable business process improvement
  • Assisting in business critical enterprise wide data and modelling projects
  • Building and maintaining strong business relationships with internal stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional customer service

To be considered and successful for this role you will have:

  • A degree in Business Studies, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics,Finance or similar
  • Proven experience in General Insurance/Workers Compensation/Finance
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Strong SAS, MS Excel, Dashboarding tools (Microstrategy, Tableau etc.) and VBA skills
  • The ability to quickly build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional customer service
  • Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task and ‎prioritise your work, whilst working in a fast paced environment
