We are looking for an allied health professional with a strong technical and strategic approach, coupled with a strong customer service focus to join us and contribute to our high performance team.

As a Senior Injury Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing injury management and medical strategies and practices that promote a timely return to work for workers who have sustained a workplace injury.

You will work effectively with employers, workers and medical and rehabilitation providers to ensure legislative and business requirements are met and that injuries are managed adopting a multi-disciplinary approach, evidence-based medicine and best practice claims management initiatives. This role focuses on setting strategies and providing direction and advice to claims staff and clients.

You will work collaboratively to coach, develop and up-skill claims staff in the management of workplace injuries and in their understanding of medical matters, return to work options, and the injury management direction of these claims.

You will possess:

  • A degree in allied health
  • At least 2 years with an insurance company or allied health provider where you can demonstrate your experience in managing complex workplace injuries
  • An innovative approach
  • Superior influencing and conflict resolution skills
  • Relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability in coaching and mentoring staff
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Experience delivering training and/or presentations
  • Data and trend analysis skills
  • Knowledge of workplace rehabilitation and/or personal injury schemes (desirable)
  • Project management experience (desirable)
