The Broker & Agency division is Allianz Australia’s largest distribution channel whose customers include Commercial, Corporate and international buyer groups throughout Australia and New Zealand. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Account Manager/Account Manager to join our busy team.

Reporting to the Distribution Manager, you will work to both achieve and exceed budgeted targets through the selection and development of profitable business opportunities and the management of business relationships with assigned Intermediaries within our Broker & Agency segment.  Furthermore, you will be responsible for promoting the 'Allianz' group through meetings and presentations with our partners.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing, developing and maintaining relationships with designated Intermediaries across all buying influences in our  Broker and Agency segment
  • Providing levels of service in accordance with key SLAs
  • Implementing strategic selling sales methodology and demonstrating sales skills
  • Monitoring and measuring budgetary business performance against sales targets and the business plan
  • Maintaining the appropriate documentation and full engagement with the Broker through the business planning process

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  • Proven knowledge of the wider general insurance market including Intermediaries
  • Exceptional relationship development skills at all levels
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Strategic selling skills
  • Insurance Account management and portfolio management experience
  • Ability to analyse data and create action plans
  • Strong customer service ethic
  • Resilience
  • Risk Evaluation experience within Commercial Risks
  • Broker &/or Customer Portfolio management skills
  • ANZIIF Qualifications would be desirable
