Senior Data Warehouse Analyst - Sydney CBD - Permanent

We are looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Analyst who will take the primary responsibility for technical leadership, development, quality analysis, implementation and maintaining and enhancing the Allianz Data warehouse deliverables. This is a Permanent position based in the heart of the Sydney CBD.

You can expect to liaise with a broad cross-section of internal/external customers and gain exposure to a wide variety of business functions. In this role you will be able to enhance your skills in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence through the use of SAS, Cognos and other new tools on the market.

You must be able to perform all tasks in the life cycle of a change to the data warehouse:

  • Gather requirements
  • Analysis of problems
  • Provide the results
  • Build and develop reports
  • Strong Programming in SAS  
  • On-call Support

Skill and Experience required for this role include:

  • Solid proven Datawarehousing experience
  • Excellent experience in SAS – (with exposure to SAS DI Studio an advantage)
  • Advanced SQL skills Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or Finance
  • Strong analytical and computing skills
  • Good database and spreadsheet skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical employees at all levels of Allianz and external partners
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Basic understanding of IT Architecture, both infrastructure and Applications
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to critical issues, participates in 24/7 on-call support rotation,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial Services sector background (insurance preferred).
  • Experience in Cognos or Report.Net would be highly advantageous
